The internet is a powerful tool to find a job, but there are steps to see new career trends, make yourself more attractive to employers or recruiters, and other sites and

1. How to use Twitter to find a job utilizing Twitter

5. You can set up a Google Alert to return posts on the internet (webpages, news stories, blog posts and more) pertinent to the job or business you are looking for. To filter the returns to you, you can even specify it for the town or area that you live in, for instance, “IT Professional Los Angeles, CA”. You can now choose emails or RSS feed for returns on your Google Alerts. Tutorial: Youtube video. Note: I am not trying to promote the person or the business or service the creator of the tutorial mentioned. I only use it, so you see how to set up a Google Alert.
6. Find a Yahoo, Google or Facebook group of people that have been laid-off in your industry, to share information in your new job search.
