We take a audio trip through the night of, and a day after seeing the new Star Trek film. This is part 3, and I talk about a more wider view of using mobile devices to capture audio and video in public places. It can be used in a positive way (to report crimes, review if a crime occurred to you, etc), or a negative way (invasion of privacy, misrepresenting the truth, etc). Part 4 is next week, in which we will review the new Star Trek film.

So, you put up your website. Great. You post great blog posts or podcasts, but you’re not getting responses. It is frustrating, but sometimes you do it to yourself. Wait, before you get upset, let me point out 6 or so things you must have on your website:
1. Email link or Contact form link. I know that spam bots harvest for email addresses, but not putting anything up makes it much harder for those who want to email you and say, “Great job,” or give you ‘constructive criticism’. Also, mention your email in your podcast, and give a link to it in your show notes and blog.
2. Voice mail feedback number. With more and more Smart phones being purchased, more people will have the opportunity to call and leave feedback about your blog/site/podcast. See Cliff Ravenscraft’s website for an example ( http://gspn.tv/ ). Grand Central ( http://grandcentral.com/ )(Soon to be Google Voice) is a good option, and its free.
3. Promos. Podcasters are constantly wanting to cross-promote and help out other shows. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to not find a promo to a smaller show that you like, to give it some promotion, and introduce it to your audience. Even if its a small show, even if its a blog, even if its an Etsy site. Please create an audio promo. Podcasters wants to play it and help you out. They really do.
4. Please put up a list of Social Network homes you frequent; Facebook, MySpace, etc. If people like you and/or your show/site/blog, then they will want to congregate where you are. let them know where you are. See Chris Pirillo’s great lower right sidebar group ( http://chris.pirillo.com/social-me/ ).
4.5 For extra credit, you can list Messageboard communities you visit.
5. Please put up a list of Micro-blogs you use. Obviously, Twitter is the most popular, but there is Plurk and others. Bottom line, it can be difficult to search for someone’s name and find them on Twitter (or others), so make it easy for them to find you. Also, you can put up a widget on your website or Social Networking site that shows your Micro-blog posts.
6. This is for your input. If you’ve found another way to open up communication with a website visitors, blog readers, podcaster listeners, let me know, and Post your comment here.
Thanks for reading, and your comments.

I get an opportunity to catch up with Aimee Rhea. Besides being a loving Wife and proud Mom, she is a driven entrepreneur. She tells us about her newest venture, a Team Leader for Dove Chocolate Discoveries, and how you can get involved. We discuss the power of women on the internet, the difference they bring to a home-based business and how Social Networking sites can assist in connecting with others in a business like Aimee is succeeding in. Aimee is a busy lady, with a great heart, and we wish her the best of luck in all she does.
