We interview Ali Puckett, the force behind the Indie5Collective, buttonhead.org, and other creative ventures. We take a moment to introduce you to Upcycling, and the Handmade/DIY Wave via Etsy.com. We discuss how Etsy crafting is the new underground economy, even in the troubled times we face today. We discuss how to get started with your handmade crafts and how to use youtube to connect with your customers and fellow crafters.

I had a few minutes to record and include some short audio thoughts:
My point in the movie discussion, is that now is the best time for you to be creative, and present it online or anywhere else. You may or may not make money, but if you are helpful or present it creatively, you could get great exposure, even in a down market.

2. There’s a UK organisation called “Christians Against Poverty” who
do debt counselling who should have some useful material on their
website http://www.capuk.org/. Thanks to Ben for this suggestion.
3. http://almostfrugal.com/ a good site and blog about frugality.
4. http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/career-articles-6_myths_about_job_hunting_in_a_recession-784 6 Myths about Job Hunting in a Recession.

This series started as an attempt to help people who;
are worried about losing their jobs,
have lost their jobs,
or are struggling in general during this economic crisis.
This is part B of show number one. We will be offering links, tips, advice, and live shows to see how we can help people. Lofty goals, but someone had to do something.
