What is Twitter?

The buzz is hot and heavy for this new “micro-blogging” system in the Social Networking landscape. It uses 140 characters to transmit messages to a group of followers. It can be used to converse with friends, message a larger group, or “lurk” and read what influencers in a particular field are saying, thinking and doing. Twitter is a powerful tool that is worth the buzz.
